Get to Know Robin Dreeke
Robin Dreeke is a former FBI counterintelligence agent and behavioral expert with over 20 years of experience recruiting and handling high-value sources in some of the most complex environments in the world. He served as Chief of the Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program and specialized in building trust, reading people, and influencing high-stakes decisions.
Drawing on the same frameworks he developed at the FBI, Robin now works with executives, leadership teams, and organizations to strengthen relationships, improve judgment under pressure, and create lasting alliances based on trust rather than manipulation. His practical, non-judgmental approach helps leaders move beyond guesswork and make better decisions about people.
The People Formula: Building Trust and Making High-Stakes Decisions
These core human behavior principles form the foundation of my work with leaders and organizations. They shift the focus from self to genuine connection; helping you build trust, read people accurately, and create lasting alliances.
Focus: Shift your attention from yourself to others, creating the psychological safety that allows real trust to develop.
Communicate: Use the Golden Keys of Communication to inspire openness rather than performance.
Inspire: Become a catalyst for the success of those around you by unlocking their potential instead of trying to influence or persuade.
Military Leader
Building Trust Under Extreme Pressure
Early in my career as a U.S. Marine Corps officer, I learned one of the most important lessons of leadership the hard way: I finished dead last in my squadron. Determined to improve, I asked a senior officer for advice. His response was simple and profound: “Make it about everyone else but yourself.”
That single principle became the foundation of everything I’ve done since. It taught me that real leadership isn’t about authority or ego; it’s about creating the conditions where people feel safe, valued, and motivated to perform at their highest level. Those early Marine Corps experiences instilled in me the discipline, resilience, and people-first mindset that would later define my approach to high-stakes environments.
Behavioral Analysis Expert
Teaching Leaders to Read People, Build Trust, and Make Better Decisions
Over the course of my career, I developed a practical, repeatable system for understanding human behavior under pressure. As Chief of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program, I trained agents and leaders how to accurately assess trustworthiness, spot what people are withholding, and build genuine alliances in the most complex situations.
Today, I teach those same proven frameworks to executives, leadership teams, and organizations. My approach is rooted in non-judgmental curiosity, separating observation from interpretation, and creating the psychological safety that allows people to be honest rather than performative. The result is clearer judgment, stronger relationships, and better decisions in high-stakes environments; whether in the boardroom, on a team, or in any critical conversation.
FBI Counterintelligence
Mastering Human Behavior in High-Stakes Environments
For over twenty years with the FBI, I specialized in counterintelligence operations, recruiting and handling high-value sources in some of the most challenging and sensitive environments imaginable. This work required reading people accurately, building trust quickly, and making life-or-death decisions based on incomplete information.
Those experiences sharpened the behavioral frameworks I now share with leaders. I learned that the most effective operators aren’t the ones who manipulate or outsmart others — they’re the ones who understand human motivations, create psychological safety, and inspire honesty. That same skill set is directly transferable to the challenges executives face every day: hiring the right people, navigating difficult conversations, and building teams that last.

If you’re looking to strengthen relationships, improve team dynamics, and make more confident high-stakes decisions, I’d be happy to discuss how these frameworks can be tailored to your organization.
